MEGAN BEST started out earning a BSc in Forestry and Conservation from the University of Highlands and Islands. This brought her to New Zealand where she acted as coordinator for the Forest Owners Association for many years. On returning to Ireland she changed direction and studied for a HDip in Sound Engineering and Music Production. She has since spent 9 years in the independent music and art festival scene. Notable events she has worked on include Sibin Festival, Knockanstockan Independent Music and Arts Festival, Life Festival, Latitude Festival in Suffolk, The Electric Picnic, and RTE Reflecting the Rising. Megan has worked for the Body&Soul Festival in County Westmeath since its inception 7 years ago, and is now the Event Operations Director. This role covers all aspects of event management planning, and includes land management and site layout design for large-scale events.
