Due to new business wins; we have a fantastic opportunity for a Venue Finding / Events Sales Executive, with sales and/or account experience to join our growing sales & account management team. You will be in the engine room of our business, delivering enticing event proposals and budgets, working with global suppliers and helping to win new pieces of business for the company. Please note this is a sales/account management role and not an event management role.
This role is responsible for providing support to the account managers and is the liaison between our clients, the venuesworld.com global partner network and global hotels & venues, including the below key tasks:
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY ? Venue sourcing, multi destination proposal writing and proposal & cost sheet execution for all designated enquiries for venuesworld.com ? Responding to designated enquiries into the business in a timely and efficient manner as directed by the allocated account manager ? Dealing with high call volumes from suppliers and clients, and being proactive in dealing with these calls ? Creating RFP’s and RFI’s to be distributed to the venuesworld.com partner network and global suppliers ? Updating and maintaining accuracy of your accounts and opportunities in Salesforce ? Planning of global site inspections and agenda preparation for the same ? Close and engaging working relationship with current, past and on-going clients ? Upselling all venuesworld.com services to clients at the appropriate time (full service event management, registration, event apps) ? Contribute to various monthly reporting as directed ? Administrative office support: general admin tasks
REQUIREMENTS: ? Strong attention to detail ? Experience in writing creative and imaginative event proposals ? Minimum 1 years’ experience in a sales role, preferably in an event management company, PCO, DMC or hotel sales role ? Experience of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word and CRM systems (Salesforce etc) ? Ability to demonstrate and support a successful track record of meeting and exceeding targets ? Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills ? A flexible, ‘can do’ attitude that is solution focused ? Is a natural team player capable of inspiring confidence in both clients and their team colleagues ? Knowledge of the meeting & events industry is desirable, but not essential
