Events Executive

We are now recruiting for a Events Executive to join our team in BALLSBRIDGE HOTEL, Located in one of Dublin’s most prestigious postcodes, Dublin 4, and yet is only a 15-20 minute walk from Dublin city centre.

Objective of the Role

Reporting to the Events Manager, the Events Executive will be responsible for maximising the sales potential and achieving the meeting room sales targets of hotel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Events Manager in all aspects of the role and to manage the department in the Event Managers absence.
  • Coordinating all events in the hotel, from enquiry to handover to Operations
  • To ensure that all enquiries are dealt with in a professional manner and the correct booking procedure carried out at all times.
  • To monitor all enquiries and to make sure that the client has received all relevant information on the booking involved
  • To process all correspondence within acceptable time limits and that appropriate follow up calls are conducted,
  • Prepare all event documentation in a professional and timely manner,
  • To promote reactive and proactive sales in the Events Department.
  • Compiling monthly reports to be submitted to the General Manager and to Central Office
  • Undertake show rounds
  • To ensure that all payment is received in accordance with the policy of the hotel and are contracted as per hotel guidelines

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a year’s relevant experience
  • 3rd level qualification desirable
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills
  • Organised and efficient time management
  • Strict attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
