Internship Job Specification:

Working within the Operations team assisting with the completion of some of the following tasks:

  • Assisting with the logistical management of Venue management, Catering, Audio Visual Equipment, Evening Function include staging, lighting, entertainment, décor, Excursions and Tours, Conference & Event Materials, Signage, Exhibition management, Hotel allocations, Marketing & Promotion.
  • Venue management, Catering, Audio Visual Equipment, Evening Function include staging, lighting, entertainment, décor, Excursions and Tours, Conference & Event Materials, Signage, Exhibition management, Hotel allocations, Marketing & Promotion
  • Liaising with suppliers – hotels, venues, transport, restaurants and activities etc. – to develop unique and exciting programs
  • Corresponding with suppliers
  • Re-confirming dates, times and booking information with all suppliers
  • Administrative assistance with the organisation, coordination and implementation of site inspections
  • Attending client meetings and preparation of meeting notes
  • Performing other administrative tasks and duties as may be required

·         Assisting with the preparation and booking of Site Inspections and Fam Trips

·         Invoice writing

·         Updating spreadsheets for Financial Controller

·         Funding applications to Failte Ireland for Site Inspections and Fam Trips

·         Work on-site with Operations during the event (after hours and weekends included)

·         On a daily basis reporting to your assigned Manager

  5. Multi-tasker with the ability to work on several projects at once
  6. Relationship builder – both internally and externally with Professional attitude towards all stakeholders
  7. Good Knowledge of MS PowerPoint and Excel is essential
  8. Excellent communication skills and phone demeanour and exceptional Internet researching skills
  9. Fluent English is essential, additional languages would be an advantage
  10. Having a car is a definite advantage – please let us know this in your cover letter

Reporting to: Jill Hughes, Operations Director

Salary:  This is an unpaid internship, however, a nominal fee of €200 a week will be paid. Salary will be paid on a monthly basis.
